I grew up in the bronx and went to one of the worst high schools in nyc. After getting in trouble for graffiti, my parents wanted me to drop out and work in our chinese takeout.

I had two options: work in the store or run away.

I did neither. Instead, I became a playwright.

over the years, I’ve been recognized and developed work with places like The public theater, new york theatre workshop, the lark, eugene o’neill theater center, nyfa, mcc theatre, and more. During the pandemic, I wrote and sold an original pilot to Sony pictures.

I could only be a strong writer because I was once a:

I do other random things like: Be in a NFL COMMERCIAL. Made a viral youtube video.

One day I met a guy on Reddit. He was a copywriter who wanted to write plays. I was a playwright who wanted to learn copywriting. he gave me an exercise to write 100 headlines for any brand.

afterwards, he was like “you could do this.”

so I was like, “okay, I will.”

and this is all because I didn’t want to deliver chinese food as a kid.
